Longtian Shi’s Little World
Welcome to my Homepage!
I’m a 4th year undergraduate student majoring in Statistics and minoring in Finance at the Department of Statistics and Data Science, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), China. During my undergraduate studies, I am honored to be advised by Chair Professor Qi-Man Shao and Associate Professor Yifang Ma at my department.
For my research experiences, I used to be a research intern in Prof. Hongyu Zhao’s Lab at Yale University in 2024. Also, I have been exploring a variety of research areas under the supervision of Prof. Rasmus Nielsen (UC Berkeley) and Dr. Molei Liu (PKU), which span my research interests.
My previous research experiences include:
(i) Causal Machine Learning: Kernel-assisted double/debiased machine learning and robust inference in modern complex datasets (e.g., distribution shift and high dimensionality).
(ii) Statistical Genetics, such as genetic fine-mapping in GWAS studies. Bayesian methods.
(iii) Computational Social Science and Network Science.
I am very fortunate and grateful to be advised by my mentors and supervisors and to do research projects with my collaborators!
